What Voci remembers about you

Version 1.0 · Effective 1 September 2026

For a grown-up to read with a child. Not a summary of the Privacy Policy, and not a contract. A child cannot agree to one, and this document does not ask them to.

A note for the grown-up first. This page is written so you can read it out loud, a line or two at a time, to a child of about three to six. Your child does not need to understand it. What matters is that they can ask, and that there is a true answer waiting. The real policy for you is the Privacy Policy.

It is written to be spoken. If Voci later reads it aloud, or draws it, the words are already the right shape.

Hello

Voci is the app with the little fox in it.

Voci helps you learn words in more than one language. To do that, it remembers a few things.

Here is everything it remembers. It is not very much.

Voci knows your name

Voci knows your first name, because a grown-up in your family told it.

That way it can say hello to you properly, instead of just saying hello to nobody.

Voci knows how big you are

Voci knows how old you are, but it only knows which year and which month you were born in.

It does not know your birthday. Nobody told it, and it never asked.

It only wants to know roughly how old you are, so it can pick words that are the right size for you. Little words for a little person. Bigger ones later.

Voci remembers what you tried

When you play with Voci and you try to say something, Voci remembers that you tried.

That is the part it cares about. Not whether you said it perfectly. Just that you had a go.

It remembers which games you played, and which words you have seen before, so it can pick something new for next time instead of the same thing again.

Voci is not listening to your words

Sometimes a grown-up turns on the microphone, so Voci can tell when you are talking.

When that happens, Voci only notices that a sound happened. It is like noticing someone is in the room without hearing what they said.

  • Voci does not record you.
  • Voci does not keep your voice.
  • Your voice does not go anywhere. It stays on the phone, and then it is

gone.

And if the microphone is off, that is completely fine. You can just tap the button, and Voci knows you said it.

The grown-up is in charge

Voci belongs to the grown-up in your family. It is their account, not yours.

That is why there is a little puzzle sometimes, with a number in it. It is not a game. It is a door. It is there so a grown-up can decide the important things, and so you do not have to.

Your grown-up can:

  • look at everything Voci remembers about you,
  • fix anything that is wrong,
  • and make Voci forget all of it, whenever they want.

If they do that, it is really gone.

Voci does not tell anyone

Voci does not tell your friends. Voci does not tell your school.

There are no adverts in Voci. Nobody is trying to sell you anything, and nobody is watching you to work out what you like.

What you do in Voci stays between you and your family.

If you ever want to ask

You can ask your grown-up:

"What does Voci know about me?"

And they can show you. All of it. That is allowed, and it is a good question.

Questions about any of this go to the address in the mentions légales.
